Special offers 2017
The safari industry is truly special. The quality of the game viewing, the uniqueness of the camps, and the friendliness of the staff are just a few of the things that make a destination popular. But with so many camps to choose from nowadays, properties across Tanzania and Kenya have to constantly stay competitive with their price. They advertise special offers and deals to do this, but with so many individual offers, it can get a little confusing… so we’ve put together the latest special offers for this season.
Roho ya Selous is the newest property to open its doors in the Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania, and from the moment it opens (on 17 August 2017), it is offering a special of 3 nights for the price of 2. The camp sits in the heart of the Selous, set on a hill overlooking the Rufiji River and in a prime location for game-viewing. The offer is only applicable if bookings are made prior to the 31st of May 2017 and travel is before December 2018.
Jabali Ridge is a stunning new property in Ruaha National Park in Tanzania, opening its doors on the 5th of September this year. The property, owned by Asilia, has a very contemporary and sophisticated interior throughout, with a grey and wooden tone, and homes an infinity pool, a spa and plenty of places to truly relax when you are not doing game activities. Situated in a prime location for game in the Selous Game Reserve, Siwandu Camp is offering extremely low season rates for any last minute bookings. The camp itself is made of nine luxurious tents, all looking out to the meandering river and en-suite bathroom with an additional outdoor shower under the stars! The camp, which in high season, usually sells at over $1,000 per person per night is selling at an incredible $406pppn! This offer is only valid for guests travelling within 30 days of booking and subject to availability.
Renowned for its seclusion and total tranquillity in the bush, Jongomero is a fantastic camp that homes a swimming pool and spacious tents with a rustic interior. Its location in the southern borders of Ruaha National Park in Tanzania, means that the game is not as good as camps located further north, but the camp is all about the remoteness and connection to the bush. As a sister property to Siwandu in the Selous, it too is offering last minute offers for guests travelling within 30 days. A camp that in high season, sells at $908 pppn, it selling at $352!
Although the accommodation is fairly simple, the emphasis of both Lake Manze Camp in the Selous in Tanzania, and Mdonya Old River Camp in Ruaha is all about the wildlife, and rightly so! Both of these Essential Destination Camps offer the best location in the parks and with irresistible offers, we think they offer the best value for money too! In the months of June, and November to March, the camps offer low season rates combined with a 4 nights for the price of 3 deal, bringing the nightly rate is more than $200pppn less than what it usually sells at.
One of our favourite properties located inside the Masai Mara National Reserve, with an authentic safari ambiance and a friendly, communal feel, Naibor Camp offers great value for money throughout the year. Up until the end of July 2017, the camp offers 3 nights for the price of 2. From August to the 20th December, it offers 4 nights for the price of 3.
Nomad Camps are offering two deals across their properties in Tanzania. The offers 5 nights for the price of 4, and the second, for longer safaris, offers 7 nights for the price of 5 in the Nomad properties across the northern, western and southern parks of Tanzania. This offer is under the 21st December and is not applicable for Greystoke, Lamai and Mkombe’s House between the peak months of July and September.
